Part three:
Women In Ministry and Leadership

Throughout the ages, women have served God in many ways.  In spite of the patriarchal structure of their society, women occupied respected positions of leadership in the Old Testament times; their contribution to the church in the New Testament was also visible (chap.9).  In the early years of the Seventh-day Adventist Church the work of women in ministry was approved by Ellen G. White (chap. 10) and carried out by notable women (chap.11).  The twentieth-century contributions of godly women in ministry and the movement toward the recognition of their gifts and calling are documented in chapter 12.
