GUEST SPEAKER

July 28 our guest speaker will be Dr. Richard Lesher, past president of Andrews University.

SPECIAL SABBATH SERVICE

Sabbath, August 25 Atlantic Union Adventist Media will be taping our services for 3ABN. Speaker will be Ivor Myers from "Power of the Lamb Ministries." They would be taping from 10:00 – 11:00, and from 11:15 – 12:15. This will be followed by a fellowship luncheon at the school.

CAMP CHEROKEE 2007

Family Camp 1 –July 29-August 5, Family Camp II/Health Professional Retreat - August 5-12, Family Camp III/Home School Camp - August 12-17. Other retreats are planned throughout the summer and fall months. If you like to swim, ride horses, canoe, and grow in your spiritual life, see Jim for an application.

FELLOWSHIP LUNCHEONS

Everyone is invited to join us for lunch each Sabbath following the worship service. Please bring your favorite dish to share! August 4, and September 15 will be picnics at VanGalder's cottage at Mormon Lake, weather permitting. Everyone is invited. Please bring a dish to pass.

IN MEMORY

We extend our sympathy to Myra McNeal and family after the death of her mother July 15 in Phoenix, Arizona.

PERSONAL MINISTRIES

PAINTING CLASS RECEPTION

A reception will be held for our painting class participants, Monday, July 30, 7:00 PM in the church fellowship hall. Cameron Macdonell has been teaching this class on acrylic painting with ten students in attendance. Bob Cau has been assisting. Paintings will be displayed and refreshments served at the reception. Everyone is invited.

BACKPACK PROJECT

School is coming up in September and we have many needy students in our community. During August, our project will be to buy backpacks and fill them for these students. A box will be placed in the fellowship hall for any donations. Financial donations are also accepted.

HERE WE STAND

Amazing Facts '07 Revival, "Here We Stand: Foundations of our Faith," will be broadcast via satellite on 3ABN from Lansing, Michigan, September 7-15, 7:00 PM. This series will "emphasize the importance of standing firmly on the Bible-based doctrines of God's remnant church. Key teachings such as the three angels' messages of Revelation 14, the law and the Gospel, the return of Christ, the Sabbath, state of the dead, the sanctuary, health message, spirit of prophecy, will be highlighted." OUT OF THIN AIR

September 28-October 1 we will open our church for an exciting series about the creation/evolution debate called Out of Thin Air. This is a four night direct-to-church satellite series by Pastor Shawn Boonstra, speaker of It Is Written, which will address some of the biggest questions in the universe: Does God really exist? Where do human beings really come from? What story does the fossil record actually tell? What is the meaning of life? Plan to invite your friends for this interesting and informative series.

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE

THANK YOU to all who helped out with our last drive, July 17. Our next scheduled blood drive will be Tuesday, September 18, 1:30-6:30 PM. Many blood types are currently in very low supply, so donors are needed. We are in need of callers to contact previous donors in the area around the church.

FOOD PANTRY

Please bring in articles of food for those in need. Food boxes go out each week. Fresh produce and bread are needed. Mark any financial donations for "Food Pantry." If you know of a needy family, please contact Lois Shappee.

BLANKET/WINTER COAT PROJECT

During September and October, Personal Ministries will be collecting blankets and winter coats for those in need. New or used articles are acceptable. Please be sure used items are clean and in good condition.

PRIMARY ELECTION

The board of elections has requested to use our facilities for voting. Primary Elections will be held here September 11 from 12 Noon until 9:00 PM.

SABBATH SCHOOL

Our lessons during July continue the study of For Better of Worse: Lessons From Old Testament Couples.

Mission Spotlight is shown each month. Titles for the remainder of this quarter are: Children Around the World and No Greater Love, the story of three Seventh-day Adventist pioneer workers.

Please join us as we study each Sabbath morning. Song service begins at 9:20. Classes are provided for adults and children.

INVESTMENT

Thank you for saving your newspapers, magazines, and health food labels for Investment. See Alvin Jackson, our Investment leader. Please be sure the UPC symbol is on the food labels.

NATURE'S GARDEN

Check with Larry for monthly sales on case lots. Orders go in monthly.
